Wandering From God Psalms 119:10

Ps 119:10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.KJV In the first half of this verse we see that the psalmist is saying he has sought God with all of his heart. In reflection to this lets apply that verse to our lives. Can we say that we are seeking God with all of our hearts? Is God our all in all. Do we say we seek him but in reality we seek our own well being. We feed our appetites for entertainment, friendship, lusts of worldly goods. Lust …

Psalms 119:9

Ps 119:9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.KJV This is a very encouraging scripture to me. As Christians we all have a starting point. We all trusted in Jesus Christ as the sacrifice for our sins. We trusted that God’s wrath for every wrong we have done was poured out upon Him. We repented of our sins and started on a path with God. But there is one problem. Yes we became born again, Yes we became the temple of the Holy ghost, Yes we became a …

Psalms 119:8

Ps 119:8 I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly. KJV As Christians we should purpose in our hearts to keep God’s word. Not to be saved or earn any favour with God, but because we are saved and love Him. Jesus said John 14:15 ” If ye love me, keep my commandments.” KJV We can see that the word IF means a lot. If we love him we will keep His commandments. In other words because we love him, out of our love for him, our love cause a desire to keep His commandments. If …

Psalms 119:8

Ps 119:8 I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly. KJV Here is a very interesting verse. What I love about the bible is you can meditate on one verse for a very long time and get so much out of it. This is a very small verse but it has so much meaning. If we just glance over it we can miss the importance of it. If we do not look at it through the covering of Jesus Christ and His Grace we can miss so much. From discussion I have had with other Christians, I …

Psalms 119:7

Ps 119:7I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.KJV Here we see that David tells us he will praise God with an uprightness of heart. We can not praise God when we are living for ourselves. We can not praise God when we live in a lifestyle of sin, We can not praise God when we are disobeying His commands. Yes we can stand and lift our hands and sing songs and look like we are praising him on the outside, and even deceive ourselves into thinking all is …
